What to expect

Turin is Italy’s fourth largest city by population and is considered to be one of the major economic, cultural, scientific and tourist centres in the country, It hosts the famous Turin Shroud, one of the most intense symbols of Christianity, and some of Piedmont’s kings and princes were key figures in Italian unification.

Together with its beautiful parks and aristocratic palaces, Turin is likewise famous for it culinary traditions and is the Italian capital of chocolate.

There are also archaeological sites from the Roman period, the magnificent Palazzo Carignano (a UNESCO heritage site) which housed the first Italian parliament, and the numerous elegant old cafés where you can enjoy a typical drink with coffee or hot chocolate.
