Itinerary

Day 1Rome - Jesi

Departure on the deluxe tour bus from Piazzale dei Partigiani. Ostiense Railway Station –
Arrival in the morning in Jesi. Check-in at the hotel, meeting with the guide and visit by the group to the Federico II Foundation in Piazza Federico II, where the emperor was born on 26 December 1194, followed by a guided tour of Palazzo Pianetti which houses the Civic Painting Museum and containing works by Lorenzo Lotto and a painting by Rubens – Lunch at the hotel – In the afternoon, transfer to the Teatro Pergolesi for the visit to this jewel of Marche – Tasting of wines and other local products at the Regional Wine Centre – guided tour of central Jesi – Return to the hotel – Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2Jesi - Grotte di Frasassi - Fabriano - Jesi

vBreakfast at the hotel – Transfer to Genga and guided tour of the Frasassi Caves, the largest limestone cavern complex in Europe. Discovered in 1971 by a group of speleologists from the CAI in Ancona, they are now a splendid underground museum of nature – Lunch in a restaurant – In the afternoon transfer to Fabriano and visit of the city and the unusual Paper and Watermarks Museum in the former Dominican Monastery – The museum illustrates the centuries-old tradition of paper manufacturing that makes Fabriano a unique city in Europe. The guided tour includes historic machinery, a wonderful collection of old and modern watermarks, and a demonstration of handmade paper manufacturing in the Medeival style workshop – Departure from Fabriano – During the return a stop at the wine cellar producing the famous Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi – Tasting of wines and other local products – Return to the hotel – Dinner and overnight stay

Day 3Jesi - Urbino - Gradara 

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer ad Urbino, meeting with the guide for the tour of the city and the Palazzo Ducale built by Duke Federico da Montefeltro, whose court hosted famous artists like Piero della Francesca and Rafael – Lunch in a restaurant – In the afternoon transfer to Gradara for the visit to the famous castle mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy for the love story of Paolo and Francesca – Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 4Gradara - Rome – Good-bye Marche!

Breakfast at the hotel ,check out and departure per Rome
Arrival in Rome and end of services.
