Turin is Italy’s fourth largest city by population and is considered to be one of the major economic, cultural, scientific and tourist centres in the country, It hosts the famous Turin Shroud, one of the most intense symbols of Christianity, and some of Piedmont’s kings and princes were key figures in Italian unification.
Together with its beautiful parks and aristocratic palaces, Turin is likewise famous for it culinary traditions and is the Italian capital of chocolate.
There are also archaeological sites from the Roman period, the magnificent Palazzo Carignano (a UNESCO heritage site) which housed the first Italian parliament, and the numerous elegant old cafés where you can enjoy a typical drink with coffee or hot chocolate.

In the morning, guided tour of the Egyptian Museum (admission included) founded in 1824 by Carlo Felice, King of Sardinia. This is the major museum in the world for Egyptian antiquities, and the collections contain numerous statues, papyri and tomb furnishings, introducing us to the mystery of this fascinating lost civilization. We will then continue with the visit of the city, with its grid layout that fascinate visitors, and long straight avenues oriented to natural vistas or monuments and with magnificent squares. We will then come to Superga Basilica, located in what Le Corbusier defined as “the most enchanting position in the world”.

In the morning a guided tour of the Venaria Royal Palace (admission included). The Palace is one of the most important examples of international Baroque architecture and art from the 17th and 18th centuries. Built by great architects of the time like Filippo Juvarra and Benedetto Alfieri, it was a hunting lodge and pleasure palace for the Savoy court. A theatre of history, nature and culture, where the impressive Baroque architecture of the Palace, the extensive Gardens and the immense La Mandria Park and charming town form an area of a million square meters, with the Palace at its heart.
Return to Turin for lunch in a restaurant.
In the afternoon, a guided tour in the heart of the city of Turin where the Cathedral houses the Turin Shroud, a copy of which is on display at the church of San Lorenzo; we will see Piazza Castello, with the Palazzo Reale, the outside of Palazzo Madama, the grandiose 17th century residence of the kings of Italy, and finally take a walk to the Mole Antonelliana
